A colourful new pantomime set in Mexico in 1910.
Young American Maria Alvarez inherits a billion dollars and is immediately targetted by her rascally uncle Don Alvarez. He hires a motley crew of villains to finish her off, and in a kind of Perils of Pauline scenario, she has to survive six assassination attempts. But fear not! help is at hand in the shape of Zorro & co, including a very funny expat dame called Dolly. The action is fast, furious and fun-packed, and a real challenge for the FX team. "... I'd like to inform you of the resounding success of your play Viva Zorro. As a company we enjoyed the script very much and laughed nonstop throughout the rehearsals at ourselves and each other. The audience were enthralled with the plot and of course each actor adds their own brand of sparkle to tehir character. Once again it has been a pleasure to have staged one of your pantomimes and on behalf of our Driector, a very big thank you." Gill Keylock, Pakenham Players Theatre Group
