A Drama
by Brenda Read-Brown published November 2010

Suitable for Adult Groups

Price: 4.00

A drama set in a nursing home which describes the growing relationship between an old lady with a stroke and a young electrician. The play is deeply moving, but always upbeat and optimistic, with flashes of humour.

Phyllis, an octogenarian who has recently suffered a stroke, cannot speak or move any part of her body except for her right hand. She has a chance meeting with Robbie, a young electrician. The exchanges between the two, as he attempts to communicate with Phyllis, are at times awkward, poignant and richly comical. A real challenge for the actors who take on these roles
