Robin works in TV, radio and films. In the last year he has become a regular contributor to Newsrevue, the long-running, satirical stage show at the Canal Café Theatre in London. He has had two comic plays published by Spotlight Publications, one in 2003 and one in 2004. They are both alternative pantomimes entitled ‘Robin Hood’ and ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ and have met with considerable success critically and commercially. They continue to be staged regularly by amateur groups. A third (Cinderella) is due to be published this summer.
Robin writes, "For the last nine years and working with various partners I have written and performed in half hour comedy shows for private performance. The success of these is such that we now write them to order. From September 2008 to February 2009 I wrote one line gags for 118's joke texting service and was made Lead Writer in January 2009.
A short story of mine will be published later this year as part of an anthology of short stories based on 'The Wind in the Willows'.I contribute short, comic stories on a semi-regular basis to the magazine 'My Weekly'. Beyond performed work I enjoy writing and I spend most of my free time writing one thing or another. "
Robin has recently started doing stand up performances at open mic clubs in London. As well as writing he enjoys directing and has directed three stage shows in the last four years (two of which he also produced) to great acclaim.
